Easter Eggs

This year I was determined to follow through and actually dye Easter Eggs with my son. My teen daughter could not be bothered with a litle bit of tradition. "Nobody dyes Easter Eggs anymore." Really, then why is is a whole isle full of amazing kits to dress up plain white eggs.
After printing out a social story for Alex that shows all the steps we will be doing we were ready. After a few minutes I discover that dyeing eggs with children is a lesson in patience for both the children and the adults. Alex seemed more fascinated with dropping the eggs so the shells would crack and then looking at the pattern. I would like to say that our eggs turned out like the picture but I would be a big liar and who would dare try lying at Eastertime!

  1. I have been thinking about you and wondering where you've been! Glad to see a post!

We are coloring eggs today. I don't know if Big E will participate - it might be too "uncool" for him, but I think once he sees how much fun we are having he will join in. I boiled a set of eggs for him just in case.

    Happy Easter!
