Dreamy of a far away land......GIVEAWAY!!!!

I haven't been blogging or reading my favorite blogs lately. My son has severe autism . This past month he has hit me nonstop. The good thing is that he is only doing it to me. The bad thing is HE IS DOING TO TO ME. I am worn out and sore. I like to stay positive almost to the point of being sugary sweet-belch.
To turn my attitude around I am trying to focus on things that I enjoy. One thing that I love is giveaways. So my few followers, I would like to announce my first giveaway.
It is a new glass paneled candle lantern. A flicker of a candle makes the colored glass sparkle.I have many lanterns that I like to use on our patio. This beauty can be yours!

The Giveaway will run from February 8, 2009 to February 12, 2009. The winner will be announced on February 13, 2009. Below are rules for entering this giveaway. Good luck.

  3. This is a cute giveaway..What I do when things get a little crazy is put in my ipod...Wether Im listening to some of my favorite music, or a pod cast I've downloaded...doing this helps me shut out the world, and take a moment for myself...of course I have been known to sing a little Barry Manillow out loud...just because I can.

  4. I'd love a chance to enter the giveaway.

My favorite way to relax - a spoon and jar of Nutella. In the car. With the radio on. Nobody knows where to find me.

    It's wonderful...

  6. That lantern is GORGEOUS...what I do when life gets a little crazy is similar to the previous post, but don't just listen to the music, dance it out! That whole saying, "dance like no one is watching" totally rings true. Just dance like crazy!

  7. I wold love to enter you lovely giveaway. Thanks for the chance.
I remember when my oldest had a severe case of ADD/ADHD and life was fast. Along came my second son 5 1/2 years later ,he was total opposite. I was reading to him one day and he looked at me and said"Mommy ,why are you reading so fast?" I had to laugh because to read to Dan my oldest it had to be in under a min and I just was in the habit. Poor Matt,he just thought I was crazy!!

  8. This would be so cute in my Master that I am attempting to Redo!

MY favorite way to relax is to curl up in my bed with a nice hot pack on my back (it is usually hurting) with either my scriptures or my favorite book.

  9. This is a very unique lantern. Love it!

I could say that shopping or having a spa treatment helps me to relax. But honestly, it sounds silly, but going grocery shopping without any kids in tow is SO RELAXING b/c I can just take my time, and look at stuff I wouldn't have time to do otherwise. :)

  10. I adore that lantern! I'm so sorry you're so stressed and tired. Tea is one of the best ways I relax. That and a massage or soaking in the bathtub!

The best way I relax is to take a moment away from everyone else and go outside in the sunshine.

  12. I would like to enter for the lantern.

My favorite way to relax is take a bath, when the children are asleep or caught up in their fav TV show. Or I completely neglect all household chores and drink tea while reading a cheesy fiction novel.

A good way that I relax is to read a good book all bundled up with a blanket on the couch or propped up in my bed. Good luck!

  17. Oooh this would look great on my new patio!

Relaxation Tips.....Hmmm, my kids were driving me crazy on Saturday so I hid in my closet with a book (walk-in). I put my ipod on and laid down on a blanket and some pillow. Totally worked too. Hubby didn't find me for about 2 hours :)

Open a window or door and take a few deep breaths of the fresh air, and remember "That which does not kill us makes us stronger". I have fibromyalgia, and although I can't say this always works for me, it helps at least a little bit, most of the time. God bless you and your sweet little one.

  20. So stunning!

When things go all crazy all I do it lock myself in the bathroom. A soak in the tub reminds me that I am beautiful strong and capable of anything. Washing out all the dust out of my hair cleases the negativity from my spirit. Shaving my legs, moisterising reminds me that I got to take care of myself when I take care of others. A silky body rejuvinated by candles and oils makes my mind clear and focussed.

Best part. The bathroom door always locks.

  25. I'm now following . . . and one of my favorite ways to relax is to color! My mom gave me coloring books and a new box of crayons when I left for college, and reminded me to take time for myself. Awesome advice . . . and the coloring totally de-stresses me!
